When I saw you had posted our "purse picture" and a note about my upcoming surgery and chemo it really didn't click that the things would be for ME. Somehow I thought of them as just for any chemo patient that people knew. I didn't read the comments obviously -- until today. When Beth brought the lovely things from Maine and Norway to knitting last night I was in shock. I am new to knitting blogs and obviously the wonderful people who inhabit them are amazing. I think I'm going to cry. :)

I am having surgery on March 24th in Dallas -- and am already planning a knitting project for the hospital. I will start chemo about a month after that -- every 2 weeks for 6 months.

Amy, thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, and thanks to your wonderful blog readers. I really am going to cry.

Dona

Ps. 60:12 Through God we shall do valiantly. And it is He who will tread down our adversaries. The good thing ...Sorry about your sister's friend. The good thing is that if they are catching the spots on her lungs early enough, hopefully she'll make a full recovery very soon. Do you have a round idea of what Donna's shoe size is? Maybe I can whip her up a pair of socks. I seem to remember my grandma's feet staying cold when she was taking Chemo.

Like you, I love hazelnut coffee! Cancer once is terrible, but twice must be unthinkably difficult. I will look into the stash to see what I have and what can be made with it.

And I'm so glad to hear its 73 degrees where you are!
